v2.4.2 and v2.5.0 Plans | Patreon Weekly #261
Added 2024-06-03 15:56:26 +0000 UTCHey Patrons, I’ve got a fairly light weekly this week, quickly going over v2.4.2 (releasing soon) and my plans for v2.5.0.

V2.4.2 is (hopefully) the last patch for v2.4, and is a mix of smaller bugfixes, tweaks and balance adjustments. Most notably it contains some buffs to the Duelist. These change focus on improving her power scaling a little (especially on floor 4), and helping out a few abilities that weren’t boosted as much as intended by 2.4.0:
Duelist now gains another weapon charge every 3 levels, down from 4
Max possible charges unchanged, but they are now reached at level 19, down from 25
Harvest bleeding increased by ~30%
Harvest now deals regular damage to bleed-immune foes
Spin damage boost up to 8+lvl from 6+lvl
Runic Slash base enchant boost up to 300% from 200%
After v2.4.2 is done, barring any major bugs that pop up from it, I’m going to get started on v2.5.0 properly. I expect v2.5 to be a fairly quickly developed update, maybe 1-2 months, and will mostly focus on items from the recent patreon poll as well as follow-up to v2.4:
Firstly, I’m going to keep an eye on trinkets, the Duelist, and alchemy. I expect v2.5 will have quite a few followup changes here as people spend more time getting used to the new items and abilities.
I’d also like to see about adding a few more trinkets. 11 is a good start, but there’s room for a lot more of them, and I’d like to increase the variety soon.
As already talked about in the Patreon poll results, I’m going to be making some big improvements to the journal UI, focused mainly on catalogs and landmarks. Check out last weekly for a teaser image there.
I’d also like to see about a few other UI tweaks, including at least investigating better keyboard/controller navigation, improvements to the alchemy UI for desktop users, and a new window that shows how an SoU will affect an item before you apply it.
Finally, while I’m not starting on the cleric proper until I start on v3.0, I do plan to do some concepting during v2.5’s development, and possibly some internal set-up as well.
