I'm not sure if it's just me... but any movie that takes place on a submarine instantly has me more tense π
I will say, Gene Hackman is just so natural in his acting. Also, I just remembered where I know the actor who played the sonar supervisor.. HOUSE! I'm pretty sure when I recognize and actor but can't place them, it's usually from House or Lost π€£
I'm really glad that this won the poll, the movie is right up my alley.

Great reaction! For a movie with a similar vibe albeit a different content matter - with a GREAT soundtrack in part by Hans Zimmer - I strongly recommend checking out "The Rock" (1996), also on Disney+. It is among the best action movies of the 90s.
