That means that we start a new arc in CLONE WARS!!!
I like that we get to see how Jedi build their lightsabers!! It's fun thinking of the Jedi we know in the movies having to go through this in order to find their crystal, though I'm not sure how accurate this is for Luke. I guess he and Obi-Wan went on a fun little trip together!
I also think it's great that Ahsoka gets to lead. She's not accompanied by a Jedi Master, she is in charge of this expedition!

I think I read that in a book once. I believe it was Shadows of The Empire. Parts of this were kinda recanonized in the comics with him using parts from Obi-Wan's home, but instead of the Kyber Crystal being Qui-Gon's, he found it on Christophsis and it was originally blank, but after receiving a Force Vision from Yoda it turned Green. He also aparrantly had a Yellow one in between the Blue and Green Sabers but it unfortunately got destroyed.

2023-09-22 01:01:11 +0000 UTCIt's doubtful whether Luke would have gone to Ilum to find his lightsaber crystal, as the Empire had taken over the planet to mine the crystals to use for the Death Star superlaser (the Death Stars were basically just giant lightsabers, lol). It has been theorised that the crystal in Luke's green lightsaber was from Qui-Gon's old lightsaber, which he found in Obi-Wan's home on Tatooine.
