Clone Wars Episode 212 (040) *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Happy SUNDAY!!

OMG IT'S TIME TO LEARN ABOUT MANDALORE!!! (As usual, NO spoilers about anything Mandalore related or if there's anything exciting about Mandalore that will happen in the future, whether that's in Clone Wars, Mandalorian or any other TV series)

I almost forgot about it, but I didn't.  This is super exciting because I know Mandalorian is a thing, so getting some backstory before watching it is amazing.

I have to say though, even if this wasn't about Mandalore, it's still very interesting so far.  And we get to learn a bit more about Obi-Wan's past... sort of lol.

I really like how we saw Anakin at the end, to prep us for next episode's duo!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the episode.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

So excited for more Mandalore!!!

Thanks Doug, that means a lot

His sass with Satine is great! I need more of their interactions 😁 Time to pick up the pace for watching shows... though I feel there's no way I'll finish Mandalorian before Ahsoka comes out 😭 Clone Wars, Rebels, Mando then Ahsoka, got it, thank you!!

Satine is a very fast favorite lol Would be nice to have some Satine and Padme team up episodes!

I know I've said this many times by now but I notice and appreciate how hard you work and I have a lot of respect for you. Keep on killin it!

Obi always has good sassy dialogue with people, but it reaches another level when dealing with Satine. You can tell there's some personal stuff going on there since the jabs are much more personal than when he's verbally sparring with other characters. Before this show (both in-universe and real time) Mandlore was known as a planet/system of warriors whose way of life was built around war and fighting, whether it was against other factions or within their own people. Knowing that and coming to this episode it was a bit jarring for people seeing peace and prosperity so it made sense for there the be a sect of Mandalorians who are like "uhh this isn't us, this isn't how our ancestors lived" and seeing peace as a weakness. Not to diminish Padme (even though there are a lot of similarities), but she inherited a peaceful planet, and you compare that to Satine who inherited a planet/system whose people had been known galaxy wide for fighting and warfare and was able to turn it into a peaceful and prosperous society. It's crazy to think about. Obviously any more information going forward is spoilers but that's just some background about what let to this point. Clone Wars -> Rebels -> Mandalorian -> Ahsoka fpr the viewing order. You can fit bad batch in wherever but so far it sort of stands on its own as a supplemental show similar to Andor. There are characters/references from Clone Wars in rebels, stuff from Clone wars and Rebels in Mandalorian, etc so it's somewhat important to keep that viewing order.

And now you meet everyone's Second favourite Politician (behind Padme) you'll be seeing much more of Satine going foward!
