Fight Club (1999) * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Hello there my dudes, it's time for Movie Reaction Wednesday!

This movie was so well made and the more I think about it, the better it is.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Bellatrix in this, and though I thought I saw Jared Leto's name in the beginning credits, I didn't recognize him during the movie (I also completely forgot I thought I saw his name).  I have since looked him up and... I really didn't recognize him at all.

So this movie was based on a book, which I sort of want to read now.  Have you read it?  And if so, is it worth reading?

I'm really just blown away by how well this movie was made, though it does seem like there are two parts to the movie.  The Fight Club as one part, and then everything that evolved from it afterwards as the second part.

The intro was really good too, since it shows us part of the ending, then explains everything.  Very enjoyable movie, and now I want to watch more David Fincher movies 😁

For full-length reactions, you need your own copy to watch the episode.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

Reminder to take time off when you need to 💜

The movie got so much better for me once I got that! A lot of people mentioned that they thought Marla was unstable so she was the one that was acting weird, but I felt that Marla was more reliable than the Narrator. I think that may have helped

i was so impressed how quickly you figured out they were the same person. it took me a lot longer

I've seen a few people recommend it, and I'm very interested in watching it! Adding it to me Patreon list of TV series to watch

For more David Fincher, I'd like to recommend his TV show, Mindhunter. It only had 2 seasons unfortunately. But, an incredible show nonetheless.

Wait... Zack Snyder did Watchmen? I do like how he has director's cuts more often than other directors (though I don't have a big sample size for this deduction). So if anything, I would start with the movie anyways, since the TV series is a sequel lol

Verowak

The series Watchmen is a sequel but with mostly a different cast, not worth watching in my opinion. My guess is that it’s probably because the movie is so good that my rating for the series is so low but as a stand-alone series it would have been fine I guess. Yes sadly the director’s cut is hard to find but it’s necessary, I hope you find it. Watch out because there is also an Ultimate cut but Zack Snyder has specifically mentioned that the director’s cut is the one to watch. More movies on the list means more vid’s from you so I see that as an absolute win.

I do love a good mystery movie!! I know one line from the movie Seven "What's in the box?!" so I'm basically an expert at that movie 😂 Added!

Verowak

There's also a TV series called Watchmen, I believe. Is it the same thing? For some reason I keep thinking of Mystery Men when I hear Watchmen 😂 If I can find the Director's cut, I will. I haven't seen a streaming service have the director's cut of a movie yet :( Seems my list of movies to watch will never stop growing lol

An interesting reaction might be Edward Norton's movie debut, "Primal Fear." It's in the mystery/courtroom drama category, I'd say. (As far as Fincher movies, I'm sure everyone will be recommending "Seven.")

'American History X' is a great movie with Edward Norton in it. Also have you ever watched the movie 'Watchmen' from 2009? If not you should add is to the List, It's a masterpiece. Edit: you mentioned Directror's cut's, if you do react to 'Watchmen' make sure to react to the Director's Cut!
