The Last of Us Episode 9 'Look for the Light' - Season 1 *FULL LENGTH

It's season finale time and I loved it! Though I feel conflicted about Joel, I completely get why he said what he said but... oh boy. Pedro Pascal has just been absolutely fantastic and Bella Ramsey was perfect as Ellie. I loved the character development throughout the series, and I think this series was almost perfect for me.
The amount of comedy was not too much, the serious tone was great, the acting and the makeup was also amazing (I mention the makeup since I feel a LOT of tv shows or movies made nowadays have very obvious perfect makeup and hair all the time which annoys the hell out of me).
I will definitely be trying the game, and my goal is to have videos of them, though it may take a while with the whole motion sickness thing, and if some combat is not doable, I will most likely have my partner do those parts while I watch from a distance lol!
I'm pretty sad that this series is done, and I would like to find another series that I can enjoy this much.
I'm still iffy from covid, I have some days that are somewhat decent, but others where I'm basically in a fog the whole day so I don't really do much. Even doing math during those days is difficult :(
I'm not sure if I'll have a movie out this week, but I'll be able to do Clone Wars for sure since those are only 20 minute long episodes, so I can take breaks!!
It's also going to go up to 5c this week, so I want to spend some time outside :D And plus, outside will probably be good for me.
I'd love to know what you thought of the series (whether good or bad, I know that not all tv series will be good for others).

We are the mere product of people and organisms who made more of themselves and protected their progeny such that they made more of themselves all the way back to the first single cell. We exist because of that primal instinct, not because we did what was logical or “right”. We are also the only known ape or animal for that matter with the insight to recognize this and choose to do otherwise. The beauty of the last of us is that it puts both of those facets of humanity in conflict with each other. Amazing reaction and can’t wait til season 2!

His decision is 100% selfish, there's no doubt about that lol. His decision for the survival of the human race was terrible lol But if I was in his shoes, and the one person that I love in the entire world, is the possible answer to the survival of the human race, would I be able to sacrifice them? Probably not. I think I would be selfish if I was in his shoes.

2025-02-14 21:54:20 +0000 UTCI’m home sick binge watching these old reactions. I seem to be the only one who totally sided with Marlene on this one. The brilliant part about this, however, is that I totally get and empathize with where Joel is coming from on a purely human level. If you can set the feels aside though I think it was very selfish of Joel and when I played the game I was looking for every way to not go through with it. Ellie clearly wanted to sacrifice herself as well and I would absolutely sacrifice myself for a cure if I were in her shoes. What Joel did was wrong objectively but our primate brains didn’t evolve for objectivity and I think that’s kinda the point of this story. With some time since you’ve reacted to this what do you think about Joel’s choice verowak? If you were in his shoes and had the choice what would you have done? I obviously woulda let the surgery proceed.

2025-02-14 21:03:49 +0000 UTCOne of the nurses in the operating room scene is a voice actor from Pt 2. Won’t say who but the character they voiced is… you could say central to the plot of part 2. So they got all 4 of the most important characters voice actors for pt 1 and 2 in somewhere!
