Star Wars Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones *FULL LENGTH

It's Wednesday and here is another full length reaction!

There are quite a few new aspects that I'm trying out in this video, so if anything that you like or dislike stands out I would appreciate any feedback :)

It took me WAY too long to do the thumbnail, but I like it. Though it's quite a bit sillier than any other thumbnail I have.

So it would seem that there is a whole animated series continuing this movie called Clone Wars, and it will be something I'll be watching once I figure out how to have more time in my schedule!

I'm really enjoying the Star Wars universe DESPITE the ridiculously horrible romance dialogue. Anakin really isn't anything like his younger self was... I miss the sweet, adorable young Anakin :D

What is a TV series that you really enjoyed?

Broadchurch for me, it was just really well made, especially Season 1. The two leads are also super fun together, the banter is just fantastic!

Have a nice rest of the week everyone!

Star Wars Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones *FULL LENGTH

Comments

I'll definitely be watching the movies before most of the TV series since the TV series will take a while. As for Clone Wars, I'll be watching starting season 1 and going all the way through so it's as simple as possible :D

Clone Wars should be watched in chronological order. They jump around the timeline if you watch in release order and it can get a little confusing. The first season along with the movie are a little rough but with each season the storytelling gets better as does the animation. I would recommend watching Bad Batch as it follows right after Clone Wars. Then watch the Obi-Wan series, then Solo, then Rebels, then Rogue One. All of these take place between Episodes 2 & 4. Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett take place after Episode 6. Or watch in whatever order you want. 🙂 The sequel trilogy happens decades after the OT.

Definitely not easy to choose, I feel like they all have their pros and cons. I'm VERY excited for the TV shows since it seems like there are just so many!! And that means more character development and world building

Verowak

Hmm… tough call. I kinda love them all. I suppose if I had to choose one from each trilogy it would be Episodes 5, 3, and 8. I also love both Rogue One and Solo. I also love the Clone Wars, Rebels, and the tv shows!

Anakin definitely comes off as super creepy, and I feel like it helps with his character. It is hard to know why Padme has a soft spot for him, the only thing I could think of was that when they were younger, he treated her normally instead of as royalty or a politician basically. I think she's a super badass character (aside from the romance), but it's Star Wars so I don't expect much in that regard. I don't think the movies deserve any hate, the story development is fantastic! I actually started to enjoy the awkwardness and ridiculousness of the romance scenes, it was a comedic relief for me :D Which Star Wars movie would you say is your favorite one out of each trilogy, and of all?

“Jesus Murphy!” 😆 As far as Anakin being the way he is, well, he supposed to be creepy. He’s supposed to be a horny teenager with an unusually strong connection with the force. And he has no clue how to deal with his attraction to Padme. He just kinda goes for it. Padme, I think could’ve been written better. She’s a strong character but it’s hard to understand her soft spot for Anakin. She gives him mixed signals but doesn’t explain them. And when she does give in to him It’s a little jarring. I have more to say about this but not until after the next movie. This movie gets a lot of hate but it is the way it is on purpose. It’s a tragedy. It begins Anakin’s fall to the dark side. The audience knows it’s inevitable but at the same time there is still hope that he’ll do the right thing. I’ve also seen reactors watch these in chronological order and in a way it’s more understandable to them. As a fan from the beginning I’m kind of immune to the clunky dialog. It doesn’t bother me. It’s part of the quirkiness of SW. I just love this world so much! Just like there’s always a little comedy. And it tends to be silly kid-friendly comedy. That too is by design. It may be awkward for adults watching these and even more so if you haven’t grown up with them.

Rob

They both did fantastic!! I'm even more impressed that it was not shot in order, so Redmayne had to keep track of how progressed the ALS was each time and act accordingly. I remember hearing about "Hidden Figures" and it seemed interesting, though I never got around to it. Seems that's another movie I want to watch now :D

Verowak

Theory of Everything is such a great movie. Both Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne are both so good. Jones is also very good in the RBG Biopic "On the Basis of Sex. And Star Wars wise, I am pretty sure you'll love Jones in Rogue One once you get to it after Ep 3! Just tone/sciencey subject wise if you haven't seen "Hidden Figures" (about black women that did much of the calculations for the Apollo program and other early NASA work) it's great too.

YES! The romance is VERY old school where that used to be regarded as a good thing? It's VERY creepy. It seems that Jedi training is just overall not good if you take Anakin at 10 years old, being the sweetest and more selfless kid ever.... and turn it into whatever he is now :/ I feel like Ewan McGregor as young Obi-Wan is similar to Jude Law being young Dumbledore... they just make the characters so much better! I love that Boba is Jango basically :D The situation Padme was in with the stone bucket is terrifying because there is NOTHING she can do. I feel like that is the worst part of all of this, being helpless and just not able to save yourself. I don't know why I'm so excited with the disarming, it's just hilarious! I'm really surprised there wasn't more this movie, there should have been three at least! (Obi-wan should have disarmed the changeling in the bar, Obi-Wan should have been disarmed, and of course, Anakin) Ooooh I loved Daredevil. I just recently rewatched the Theory of Everything and saw him in it! I didn't know who Charlie Cox was the first time I saw that movie

Verowak

I've heard great things about it, and the main actress being just amazing

Verowak

Star wars romance continuing this insane theme of men aggressively pushing themselves on woman who are not in a situation where they can easily reject them and it somehow is supposed to be endearing :verowaBlank: I agree, bring back the wholesomeness of young Ani rather than this creepy thing 😅 I guess that's what 10 years of Jedi training repressing your emotions and awful social interactions through your formative years will get you? Some great things in this episode! - Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan continues to be one of the best parts of these movies. "Wanna buy some death sticks?" - Everything to do with the clones was excellent. - Jango was overall much more well done than Boba was in the original trilogy. It feels like they learned a lot from how they handled that character and improved on him greatly. It's just a shame other aspects like the romance and dialog didn't too... - More C-3PO & R2 best friends re-united interactions! I loved when R2 pushed him off the ledge. We didn't get an R2 squeal though 😥 - Seeing Yoda's teaching style with the younglings was so adorable. - Padme trapped in the giant stone bucket with the molten metal coming for her will never not be a tense scene for me. No-matter how many times I've seen it and even knowing she will be ok, it's still such a genuinely terrifying moment and Natalie Portman does a great job selling the panic there. As well as just generally kicking ass and taking names in this movie and the Phantom Menace. Again it's just a massive shame about the dialog and romance as it drags the rest of her performance down. Outside of the movie itself, I love how excited you get whenever someone is disarmed 😈 And the thumbnail fits perfectly! To answer your question: I really enjoyed Daredevil, specifically season 3. It was amazingly well done!

One of my favorite shows was Orphan Black. The acting was amazing as I recall. Good story too.
