Agree with crake, I see no issue with the first bump being small, she will probably be thinking the same based on how quickly she is wanting to get going

My personal preference is for a longer more prolonged/slow growth with little spikes of faster growth thrown in if/when it suits the story. Depending on what you want for her character, having her grow fast at first but then go slow could create a situation where she takes action to find a way to speed it up again. In any case, if you do decide to start things slow I think that's also a great way to give her character a drive to do some fun stuff ๐
