You can no longer read through the computer, pc, or laptop. You can only read through an app from your smartphone.
This change surprises him since it is so sudden, and I don't even have time to breathe when everything has happened.
I am not sure what many other writers are planning, but they seem to be jumping on another platform, but what do you think?

Personally, I have been comfortable with Webovel, but if they go bankrupt all of a sudden, I am not sure whether the chapters which I have written will be saved or deleted abruptly, like the decision how they change everything like this.

My best guess as to the reason is that they want to reduce scrapers as in programs that scrape the chapters to post on free websites. Also webnovel is Chinese owned and quite blind to western habits/opinions such as still using computers a lot. Also this is going to piss people off since they’re already quite disliked for their greedy practices. It’s pretty crazy that most of their novels cost more per word than physical books that actually go through a publisher that has a professional paid editor go through their books on top of an author. Scribble hub is quite good for posting for free and allowing you to prominently advertise patreon or other outside monitisation options.
