Okay, a detour to the comic store Annie visits. They might be talking about in the first two panels they were kicked out of the water park. Tabitha says she's been kicked out of a lot of places before.

And Jesse from the comic store knows Charlotte-- and is surprised she's alive. My thought is that Jesse is Charlotte's age and she was Charlotte's friend, and that's how the younger Annie and Lucy met Jesse.

Some kind of dress up on the next page, and more lies from Tabitha.

I think on the next page, Annie says to Charlotte "Lucy's right, people who read comic books will believe anything."

If I remember right, I have six pages left for this chapter. So two for this, two for something else (probably some characterization for Charlotte), then two for the hot springs?

Then next chapter is Annie's first villain (compared to her just encountering villains).
