Christmas, aside from being Roy’s foster mother, is actually his paternal aunt. They are related, unlike the girls she takes in. In the manga she calls him Roy Boy, which I think is a cute detail considering in this episode he says she still treats him like a child. His background growing up under Christmas helped shape his persona using “womanizing” to gather information from the Chris’ girls, as well how he codes his info using again, names of girls he’s “dated”. We also see this in the past with the codenames he’s given his team early on after the Maria Ross debacle (Kain Fuery = Kate, Jean Havoc = Jaqueline, Vato Falman = Vanessa, and Riza = Elizabeth, etc )
