After hearing hoenheim say "I am a philosophers stone in the shape of a man" and then hearing Ed say "I am a philosophers stone powered by a single soul" in back to back episodes is awesome by comparison.

2025-09-18 22:20:27 +0000 UTCI sometimes think it’s a bit of a cop-out by the writer to have each alchemist character only specialize in one type of alchemy. “This guy has fire powers! This guy has water powers!” Its not bad, exactly, but definitely feels “shonen,” if that makes sense. I would cover my entire body in glyphs, or at least my clothes. “This circle is for stone, metal, wood, X Y Z.” Always ready for whatever.
