I loved the reaction and discussion, and especially Ben picking up on how much the studio loves the Franchise through watching it. The studio has a publishing arm that runs a competition for submitted manuscripts, and Violet Evergarden is the only one that has been awarded the grand prize (published and guaranteed anime adaptation by the studio), with one of the judges wanting to give it an above top score. That judge went on to be the series director for the franchise.
