2025-01-22 14:52:36 +0000 UTCIt's where Yuno Gasai, the quintessential yandere is from. She was what attracted me to it. Honestly not a great show, though she is the highlight of it. Kind of like Kurumi Tokisaki from Date A Live, the only reason most people watch. I've since refined my palette lol. A lot of the series I like are popular, but I don't think you can call them mainstream per se; Monogatari, Fate, Steins;Gate, Re:Zero, Madoka Magica, Kaguya Sama. My litmus test for "mainstream" is that you don't see merch for them in stores around here like you do with your generic shounen (big 3, DBZ, Demon Slayer), or even series like Spy x Family or Chainsawman (both of which I do watch).

2025-01-21 05:12:38 +0000 UTCHonestly I haven't watched the big 3 either LOL. My tastes have always been niche, besides the Pokemon anime the first series I watched of my own volition was Future Diary, so that should give you the idea.
