I am gonna warn you about something. There is a CRITICAL mistranslation about the whole roswall and rem ram attack. When you get to that point in the story again make sure to remember and check the comments or online for the correct translation.

2023-06-06 21:53:36 +0000 UTCI mean either or works, they could even watch it after s2 or not at all, but it would be good if they at least are aware of the content (and I don't believe I've seen anything indicating that yet). S3 might even start before they catch up even if they only look at one episode a week without other content (although I believe it will start a bit later than that).

Also there is a bit of extra content for each episode in the re:zero shorts (s1 on crunchyroll) or break time for s2, usually with some cut content from the light novels that adds to the world building and/or are funny.
