I appreciate your forging your way through discussion after the emotional impact of that episode. It’s a testament to how great a job they do with the characters from writing, voice acting, pacing, etc. that it can hit the feels. There is a lot in this episode to appreciate from all the Okabe-Kurisu moments, to Daru’s accusation of Okarin not protecting his lab members from Kurisu’s cooking, and so on, which can get overlooked due to that impactful ending. Even in re-watch I get hit in the feels. Thanks again for sharing - and I agree with the above comment about Ben’s lightsaber story being hilarious.

Around 28:00, when Anna points out that Kurisu "working for SERN" is maybe just that she won't have a chance not to and that she'll maybe be the one to actually invent time travel for SERN: I think that she kinda already did. Just at this moment in time, SERN is about to take Kurisu (and Okabe and Daru) *and* the time-leap machine that Kurisu, not Okabe or Daru, created, so in a way, Kurisu invented time travel for SERN.
On another note: the story of Ben, his lightsaber and their neighbour is hilarious :D
