You don't even need to go back 5 generations to see how mundane the origin of Bakugo's quirk is. His father has Acid Sweat and his mother has Glycerin. It is said that the glycerin she secretes contributes to her skin's youthful appearance (it is a common skin ointment irl too). It is probably more of an annoyance than anything else for Bakugo's father to sweat acid. Both of those quirks are completely innocuous on their own but combining nitric acid and glycerin gives you nitroglycerin, the powerful explosive that Bakugo sweats and explodes.
