I think Jayce knows he can haggle, he just doesn't because it's a waste of time when both sides can get what they want. He knows he has the upper hand with Silco, he just wants to solve the problem because that's what he does best.

My favorite part about Silco is how he says his last lines, he isn't angry with her, he just wants to make her feel better about herself. He tells her; "YOU are perfect", not Jinx is perfect, not Powder, her. Unfortunately, I do think he was right about Vi not accepting her, because she really isn't the same person she was, and it consistently showed that Vi wasn't willing to accept Jinx, only Powder, who she outgrew years ago.

Jayce and Viktor will be saved somehow, probably by the Hexcore. The rest are dead, except for maybe Mel. But, to me, it's better for the story if Mel and the rest of the council are all out of the way. Then Mel's mom worms her way back into Jayce's ear and manipulated him towards war.

When ben said he loves this world so much I chuckled, because this arcane’s setting is literally one city on multiple continents in the league lore. I really do think this is just the beginning of the league cinematic universe and it’s only going to get better. Not to diss vi and jinx or arcane’s character’s in general, but their story is one of hundreds more. So excited to see where riot goes with this.

my money is on most of the council will be seriously injured as the rocket hits the room but doesn't blow up, with jaycee and viktor the only ones standing as the rocket sits in the middle of the crumbling room about to blow, and how anyone survives, they already set that up in episode 7 when viktor disarms one of jinx's bombs.

Aptly named the Super Mega Death Rocket.

Ironically, League of Legends is not a story-driven game. At all. It's a multiplayer arena fighting game that takes place in a location that has nothing to do with the world they eventually created for it. It's just that the backgrounds that they created for their many champions (and the lands they came from) became so detailed and well-realized that they completely transcended the original game. Even given that, they way they forged this particular set of characters into such a coherent and compelling story in Arcane is nothing short of amazing.

if Mel is dead I am never watching Arcane again

season 2 has been in the making for a year+, it might come out in 2023, in the meantime, you can watch Bridging the Rift. Jinx's last scene missile is from the game, it's called her ultimate and if it's going to hold true to the game, it's going to do a lot of damage.

Omg! So glad you noticed Mel's armour, I've watched a lot of reactions and not a lot of people noticed that. Also a youtuber pointed out a line that Ekko and Silco said about Jayce, his inability or just him not even realizing that he's in a situation where he can haggle. But great reaction and discussion as always!

So glad you acknowledge that subtle shift that Silco's face does when Jayce mentions he wants Jinx, it's probably one of my favorite parts of animation in the whole show. The facial animations are just insane, even more so when you know they needed to do all that by hand.

I would love to see your reaction to Arcane : Bridging the Rift. It makes you love the show even more

william

You should watch the making-of of Arcane called 'Bridging the Rift" published by Riot on their Youtube channel, it's really worth watching.

Literally the second I finished the discussion for episode 8, I see episode 7 reaction pop up on YouTube and go here. Pure bliss.
