Copyright Strike
Added 2023-02-09 02:07:03 +0000 UTCHey guys, everything is still releasing tonight (EST) on Patreon as planned but we are a little delayed because we have been given a copyright strike from MAPPA. It’s an extremely scary thing to happen as we have tons of reactions on the channel related to MAPPA.

Of all channels, they copyright strike YOU? xD Absurd. You blur, you skip, you mute, you talk over it, how is that not fair use? There's a million crystal clear uncut AoT videos out there. Ridiculous.

2023-02-09 14:09:38 +0000 UTC1) If you ever get flagged for multiple things, make sure you address each one separately even if it's from the same company, youtube is stupid like that. If possible, do not let them stack and challenge them the moment you get them. 2) Use something to cover at least 1/3 of the episode window, a pattern of black squares to cover at least half of it with the subs fully visible is the best experience imo. I hope everything gets resolved asap and you never have a problem.

2023-02-09 02:44:07 +0000 UTCEventually Patreon can care but it usually takes someone who is disgruntled manually reporting it. That typically didn't happen until you become massive though, and by then you can host your own vids.

2023-02-09 02:39:34 +0000 UTCI've never understood why studios are so aggressive, you don't show enough footage for it to be piracy and we have all obviously seen it, I could understand and maybe forgive a claim, but a strike is overkill when you are bolstering engagement with their shows. The more reactions about the show the more the algorithm will recommend it. What show is it, AoT? To be honest the safest thing with a STRIKE would be make it Patreon only, with a CLAIM they will just steal the revenue but it is in their interest to leave the channel alone.

2023-02-09 02:18:09 +0000 UTCI watch other patreons and they also upload anime reactions. They either upload to Vimeo or Patreon itself and that isn’t somthing that can be copyrighted. Yk how your Patreon videos are uploaded to YouTube through Patreon. Theirs are just to Patreon and that way they are also allowed to upload the full episode on screen no cuts with no copyright. They only care about copy right on YouTube. This is just a way to keep uploading, I’m not sure what you can do about the YouTube reactions tho.
