I like how everyone misses this, but Hayasaka didn't just reveal she works for Kaguya. Shirogane's known that since season 1. What she said is that she works for Kaguya's family to SPY ON HER. Hayasaka, Kaguya's most/only trusted confidante and essentially her sister, is actually a double agent for the very assholes who make Kaguya's life hell. That's a HUGE bombshell to drop.

2024-04-25 18:09:56 +0000 UTCOne thing I think is so interesting in Hayasaka's confession to Miyuki in the karaoke booth is that she doesn't say she works for Kaguya and keeps tabs on her friends, she says she works for the Shinomiya family to keep tabs on Kaguya AND her friends.
