That only took two and a bit days, which means that Bharat and Geoff didn't have quite as much work to do as they might have done, in between organising a live Story Time. So instead of being at the ground, we're sitting in the Adelaide hills figuring out what to put in the next weekly show.
The few West Indies Daily shows we did were good fun though, if you missed them. Preview, day one, day two, and day three. The videos are on the usual YouTube channel, including a lot of Alfie and Olivia dog content on the preview.
At least the early finish means that your Wednesday email is only going out on Saturday, not the next Monday. We have two Wednesdays left in January - can we get them right?

Season 15, Episode 20: When a chopper lands in the middle of the cricket ground, it is only ever a good sign. Right? That was David Warner's arrival to the Big Bash this week, while Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh made their exits. The touring West Indies did well in their Adelaide warm-up match, Steve Smith is confirmed as Test opener, bails continue to not fall off, the Australian women finish a dominant stretch in India, Dean Elgar goes to Essex, Wanindu Hasaranga goes top five for ODI bowling performances, and plenty more besides.

Get to the chopper!
This week, we explore the centuries between Gunter and Gunther, diverging from the New York of The Nanny to the New York of Friends. Or was it the same all along? Yes, this is about cricket. Also, the brothers who were not the twins, an unlikely Ranji Trophy head-to-head, a grand Jewish batting career, a return to a favourite Dusty Old Bastard, and a legendary innings that requires some myth-busting.

Last week, Adam also knocked together another Greatest Season re-release for you.
It's difficult to believe that it took Bangladesh until 1999 to make a World Cup, but they made up for lost time, knocking off Pakistan, which turbocharged their push to become a Test-playing nation as a consequence of how they performed at this terrific World Cup. Aminul "BulBul" Islam led their campaign 25 years ago, recalling in detail their unusual and inspiring path to cricket's top table. With Dan Brettig (The Age) and Shannon Gill (Code Sports).
You can hear it here.
Thanks to our December Julios, you can have your own month on the Alex Carey calendar. We especially love the link between the first two on the list - who did arrive chronologically.
