Dave Warner to captain Australia? It might just happen.

Season 12, Ep 30: Who saw this coming four and a half years ago in Cape Town? Well, the world has turned a number of times since then. With Aaron Finch hanging up his ODI pyjamas after a distinguished career. and in the absence of a perfect alternative, the Bull might just be back in the ring. Adam has Dean Wilson from The Mirror with him to pace through that and plenty else, including another man making an unexpected comeback, Alex Hales. There are also good news stories from Rwanda and Sri Lanka, a throwback ODI series in Cairns, the county champo reaches the pointy end of the season and England’s women take on India to complete the northern international summer.

Story Time 105 – The Truth of 1009 Not Out

It's Story Time, our weekly walk through cricket history via your listener quiz challenges. With Bharat Sundaresan on the show, strap yourself in for a trip on the long and winding road. Of particular note, his tale of how he debunked the absurd 1009 not out innings of Pranav Dhanawade. When it is Adam’s turn, we’re looking at big numbers in the South Pacific, a dusty old bastard who was one of the first true quick men and devote some time to somebody who we’ve never really given it to before – unless it’s been in the context of Vinoo Mankad.

TFW Daily - England v South Africa

An underwhelming series ends but Adam and Daniel had fun describing it at stumps each night. The episode we recorded after day three at The Oval (the first where there was play) generated plenty of activity. Don't tell anyone, but if looking very closely, you'll detect Norcross shedding a tear when reflecting on the pre-match formalities. Far from Royalists or Monarchists on this podcast, but it was that kind or morning. There will be Daily eps, to finish the northern international season, at the England v India Women ODIs starting at Hove on Sunday.

The Final Word XI v Oval Dreamboys... this Friday!

We are all very much looking forward to taking the field at 4pm (sharp) on Friday (16 September) at the Griffin Sports Ground in Dulwich. If you don't know anybody from The Final Word as yet, don't let that be a barrier - believe me, nobody knew anybody when we played this game last year and it's worked out splendidly with many friendships formed. There is also a lunch ahead of the game at 1:30pm - check the Discord for specifics, or drop me a DM on Patreon if you aren't on there and fancy a feed. Speaking of, I'll make sure there are plenty of pizzas afterwards. We also have some money already behind the bar - cheers, Lara Killick!
