An Important Update

I have been doing a lot of pondering recently about what direction I should take as an adult oriented artist and where I should steer this patreon. For the longest time, this patreon has served as an important financial boost to help with my living situation while I was living in another country. Living there meant I needed more work and therefore more money to cover my monthly needs. Fortunately, I now find myself living back in my country of origin where things are not as expensive, I can help my parents, and health and medical care is more affordable.

As you may imagine, this has significantly lessened the stress and pressure set upon by deadlines of financial responsibilities. Because of this, I felt more free to try and focus on personal projects and ideas I want to realize, I originally had thought that by lessening the patreon work from full paintings to sketches I could get the extra time I would need to do these things. I was wrong. I vastly overestimated my abilities and greatly underestimated the amount of time it takes to do anything.

So now I am at a crossroads in terms of what I am doing vs what I want to do. I could continue doing what I am doing the way that I am doing it and seldomly find time to do anything else, or should I stop doing what I'm doing and change to do something different.

What Would This Mean? What's the TL;DR?
In simplest terms, I would be halting the monthly dedicated sketches to focus on all the ideas I don't often get to do.

No, this doesn't mean that I'm quitting. And no, this doesn't mean that I fell in love with some guy named Jesus and now "I'm quittin' da life". What this means is that there is a lot of things I want to do and illustrate but to do so I would have to sacrifice some stuff. This means the current 2 highest tiers of this patreon would be eliminated with no current replacement, monthly dedicated sketches would cease, and the access perks would go to the remaining tiers in a subsequent order. Yes, all patreon members will still be able to get notified of commissions earlier than the public.

What I would then want to do with this patreon is dedicate the time that I would then have to not only work on commissions and have a faster moving queue, but also finally be able to dedicate time to not only full proper illustrations featuring my OCs, but to a lot of other gross nasty illustrations I constantly have in mind and constantly want to do but very rarely get the chance to do so (stuff like lewd body horror, body mods, watersports, lots of watersports, and among others). Even if its just 1 thing a month, or working on the 1 thing for more than a month, I would like to have the time to creatively fulfill myself in more personal ways. And yes, whatever I do would be a timed exclusive to here first and then available publicly with the added benefit that patreons would have sketches, files, timelapses and all that stuff available to them.

So what now?
Well, like I said, all of this would mean that I would cancel the current 2 highest tiers and stop the sketches. Not now, obviously. That would be theft. I don't do that. Maybe for December or, better yet, for start off the next year. Patreons that were subscribed to these tiers are of course under no obligation to stay, you all have been way too damn generous with me and I could never demand anything of you. You are free to do as you please.

And as previously mentioned, the patreon would turn into a tip jar of sorts with some perks attached to it. Hopefully, if this grows, I would continue doing more and dedicating more time to it. In the meantime, I'll focus on commissions, getting them out faster, and doing whatever I can with the time I get.
