Time Well Spend WIP #2

I had a moment to work on this a little bit more. As you will see in the timelapse, this has been very experimental in terms of coming up with things and ideas as I go along.

Color has been a big part of this experimentation. I went through various ideas, iterations, and entire backgrounds. Last night I went to bed stumped because I couldn't seem to get the background right and I was beginning to think coloring was a bad idea and that I should just go black and white for this instead. Admittedly I was tired and it was affecting my performance. I decided to just go to bed and resume in the morning.

I woke up the next day prepared to restart my progress and, to my surprise, seeing the work with fresh new rested eyes made me think that it wasn't that bad at all. In fact, I quite liked it this time around. And so I continued with my colored work, and I even came out with a much better idea for a background.

So, lesson of the day is: never work tired, you'll hate what you're doing.
