Unpacking!

Welp, that's the end of content in my old home. First of all, brilliant game, definitely recommend it. Such a lovely way to tell a story and it was fun too. A heads up - there will now be a big dry patch or some oddly made videos here and there until I work out how to make videos in the new space. Lots of trial and error up ahead. Gonna do my best to get the best possible situation for Silksong haha. We will have to talk about that later, I genuinely don't know if I should play it on release or wait for a few months to go by. Things are tough right now! Thank you for the lovely supportive thread of messages in the discord server. I feel quite alone in this life stage atm so having a community of supportive people is wonderful. Thank you endlessly.

You got this Amber! I know just taking a step back and reassessing can help get things figured out!

This is such a great concept for a game. Growing up, my family moved a lot. Most of my belongings would follow, so that each place could feel like home. But there were yard sales and goodbyes also. And later roommates, and relationships...and the merging of personal spaces. Life upgrades. Downgrades. Re-upgrades. And yet, I still have the hand-painted piggy bank I was given when I was just a wee turd. Very cool how this game managed to depict that, while allowing you to fill in the blanks and piece things together yourself. Brilliant environmental storytelling! Loved this playthrough. And the intro/outro heheh. Sucks to leave a place you love, and feel like you're regressing. You aren't. When you hit reset, you're starting fresh, but with a lot of gained perspective that you didn't have the first go round. When we unpack our stuff, maybe it's best to keep the meaningful and motivating things within sight and reach, and give that past baggage the Marie Kondo treatment. I hope you one day find a space where you can spread out, and feel fully yourself...and maybe even share it with someone who loves you for it.
