Version 0.0.17 Update and Some News
Added 2025-08-03 23:47:08 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, I won't be able to finish version 0.0.17 on time and will need a bit more time. Version 0.0.18 will be released as scheduled, without any delays. I apologize to all of my subscribers for the inconvenience.
Alongside Viceburg, I've begun working on a concept for a new game in which I plan to apply every lesson learned during the development of Viceburg. The new title will focus on story and content, while Viceburg will continue to evolve as a sandbox. I aim to launch the new game before the end of the year.
Once the new game is out, I'll adopt a rotating schedule: two weeks devoted to Viceburg, followed by two weeks dedicated to the new game. This cadence will let me ship one substantial update for each title every month.
I also plan to publish regular DevLogs to keep you updated on the progress of the new project and the ongoing development of Viceburg. Development on Viceburg is not being abandoned; the new project simply gives me room to bring fresh ideas to life without overcomplicating a single game.

I'm currently only fleshing out the concept for a new game. Its release is still a long way off-by then, Viceburg will probably already have entered beta. I'm not investing much time in the new project yet, and the delay of the next Viceburg build was caused by some unexpected personal issues that have now been resolved, so the future update cadence won't be affected. Viceburg update at a glance. A new location-the Fight Club-is coming, featuring four characters: a coach and three fighters. Each fighter has a three-quest story line. Every quest involves a fight; depending on whether you win or lose you'll see different endings, but none of the quests can be "failed" outright-losing simply advances the story along an alternate path. Quests will also react to the player's gender. The fighters can train your character, boosting Agility, Damage, and Defense. After finishing all three quest lines, you'll unlock a cash-prize tournament. About the new game. The protagonist will be predefined with no option to choose gender or skin color. This lets me flesh out both the main character and the supporting cast in more detail and deliver more content instead of building multiple variants for different player types. The new game will be more casual and quest-driven, while Viceburg will continue to focus on new mechanics and deep NPC interactions. Looking ahead, I plan to alternate development cycles: two weeks on one game, two weeks on the other, until Viceburg reaches its final release. Thanks for the feedback.

2025-08-05 12:20:46 +0000 UTCHonestly, and this is not meant rudely to you or anyone, I'm a bit disappointed and worried. While I understand you're one developer, I don't think breaking the news about making a new game at this moment was the right idea given both games would be in development and you weren't able to deliver on this week's update. Will you be able to handle the workload of updating two games?Personally, I'd rather consistent updates over big updates- especially as a subscriber paying for early access. That being said, I am excited and really only wish we had more info! Could we at least be told what the .17 update entails aside than added locations and characters? What do they pertain to? And how is Viceburg and the new game being split up? What's the difference? What mechanics will the new game have and aside from a split upload schedule, how will this affect Viceburg? Even though I'm disappointed, I'm still excited for all to come :)
