New Spotify Playlist: Villains
Added 2020-03-11 12:54:59 +0000 UTCI've got another big ol' Spotify playlist for all of you: DnD Villains! I had two specific uses in mind for this: non-combat confrontations with villains and exploring villainous lairs.
In my campaigns, I like to dangle bad guys in front of my players without the expectations that a fight is going to immediately break out. A lot of times, a BBEG is too challenging to fight anyway, so the best the party can do is try to understand their motives. Likewise, a lot of big evil "dungeons" feel more like they deserve something other than the standard goopy cave music I typically use for dungeons. A vampire's manor, an oathbreaker's cathedral, or a vicious warlord's stronghold need something more nefarious and less atmospheric.
