I've been a big fan of all the lore surrounding the Blood War since I was first introduced to it in Planescape: Torment. Endless battles between demons and devils on the first layer of literal hell? Yeah, that rules. For those of you enjoying Descent Into Avernus: you're welcome.
This track is perfect for epic moments in the lower planes. But let's face it... any adventure into the Nine Hells is going to have a pretty constant level of high intensity. So long as you're amidst fire and brimstone, this should be a go-to. That said, the baroque organ and war drums make this a good fit for religious themed boss battles (oathbreaker paladins? fiends attacking the material plane?) or anything combat related with a royal twist to it (laying siege to an enemy's castle). It's intense, so you'll probably want to reserve this for a particularly exciting moments... or just do what I do and throw it into a generic combat playlist.
