Tally Ho meets the HMS Surprise!

2025-10-13 19:31:06 +0000 UTCFor some bizarre reason the US Coast Guard will not let crew sleep in hammocks-the Endeavour had to get a special dispensation when touring the US. Makes the Rose, now Surprise, not as authentic as she could be. AFAIK the crew sleep in the hold-not as much fun. The original Surprise is mentioned below, I have a book by John Nichol who was her carpenter at the time of the Piggot and Hermione mutiny.
