Shooting an Elephant, by George Orwell (Audiobook)
Added 2024-05-15 15:50:35 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite short stories - Written by Orwell in 1936, Shooting an Elephant functions as a critique of imperialism. Interestingly, no one knows if it is fiction or non-fiction.
Enjoy and thank you for your ongoing support <3

2024-06-07 14:48:31 +0000 UTCIt's hard for me to put my love of Orwell into words. He feels like your friend when you read him. Naturally funny, completely trustworthy, and a Good Guy — he epitomizes that James Baldwin line: "I want to be an honest man and a good writer." His essay collections are certified desert island picks. Worlds of lucid takes. Feels like he invented common sense. Really appreciate this reading. Thanks man.
