Development Update #89

Hello all,

Another busy week, so let's dig in and start with the progress report:

All the writing is now complete for this update. There is the proof reading and final editing still to be done, but these will not start for another week at least.

In between then will be my own testing of the code. Though the drink event has been tested quite extensively, I want to be sure there are no problems that might arise.

Scene-wise I have the remainder of the house part 1 and play event still to do. I am hoping to have the bulk of these created and rendered out by the end of next week. These scenes involve all the characters, including some very loose-fitting T-Shirts that require DForce simulations run every time I move them. 

Rending 6 HD G8 characters all together just would not have been possible on my old GPU - so the new GPU is already paying off with the amount and quality I am able to do with my scenes. 

There may be a final animation I create, but this is dependant on time, as there is also a specific scene I'd like to go back to in chapter one and re-render. However, I am considering picking some scenes and putting them to a popularity vote on here. They all will be done eventually, of course.

I did toy with the idea of pushing back an update to do a 'remaster'. I have seen a few other developers do this, though I always want each update to drive the story forward. Given the next update (part 3) will be smaller in scope (famous last words!), it is the perfect time for me to devote some development time to improving my earlier images.

This evening (Saturday 28th @11pm GMT) I will be joining Spicygaming as he plays through Dreams of Reality. I will be talking about the game, and answering any questions you may have.
