Comic Update #1 - First post! Welcome to the Patreon

Hey all! Thanks for supporting and here’s my first Patreon post as well as the first proper comic update.
Some things to note, Comic Updates will always be titled as such and numbered to keep things organised, and any other posts to do with just general Art, Illustrations, Processes, Early access stuff and Comic Chapter Posts will be separate.

Brief comic info & what I’ve drawn so far
Without giving too much away in my excitement, the comic to start off with is primarily about my characters Keisha, Aariyah and Jaylin, 3 really close friends who spend lots of their time together hanging out. The comic focuses on their lives and what they get up to where they’re from, and the magic system they use, which I’ve called Onti, which allows some people to manipulate an element.

The comic themes are action, fantasy, bit of comedy, bit of drama, and sapphic, and I’ll title it when I’m ready to start posting chapters publicly.

I've completed the roughs (34 pages) of the first chapter, so above is some of the first few pages I've drawn up for it! I wanted to introduce Keisha Aariyah and Jaylin together and get as much information as possible about them, a small part of the world and give an idea of their personalities. They've been very close friends since adolescence and I wanna show how their friendship develops.

Plans going forward
I'm going to be writing chapters and working on them as I go, I have lots of vignettes already jotted down so it's just about linking them all together with any other ideas I have. I'll eventually share my process for those too! I plan on getting at least 5 chapters of the comic completed (like a volume at a time) before I start to post them to Webtoon / Tapas, then pause and work on another 5 or so.

These take quite a bit of time to do and I want to work on this as much as I can going forward, however, I'm currently still in a position where I need to be working on the side to stay afloat, so I'll be taking on commissions/freelance work when needed, which might slow down how much I can work on this. I do have a earnings goal set for rent, so if I reach that goal every month I can simply focus on the comic much more and take on less work!

I'm gonna knuckle down and get as many of these pages cleaned up a bit and then I will update when I'm done and ready to colour! Thanks for reading 💖
