"Raguel, Ragüel or Ra'uel (or their variants Raguil, Rasuil, Rufael, Suryan, Akrasiel) (Hebr. רְעוּאֵל Re'uel Friend of God) is one of the 7 archangels, mainly from the Jewish and Islamic traditions. His name means "friend of God" or "desire of God".
Raguel is not mentioned in the canonical scriptures of the Bible. His name is listed in the pseudo-epigraphic Book of Enoch as one of the seven archangels, who showed Enoch the fire that guides the lights of heaven.
Raguel is referred to as the archangel "in charge of justice, fairness and harmony". He observes all the angels and archangels to make sure if they are working properly with mortals, in a harmonious and orderly way, according to the divine will and order. He keeps track of their mistakes, and make the punishment for angels who have transgressed God's rule.
According to this, his actions against other angels are not proper to the devil but against him and must be interpreted as the fulfillment of the divine mission of keeping heaven pure, clean of corruption, in harmony with the will of God."
