BTW, this is the same thing the Rings of Power ran into: the writers need to put mystery-boxes everywhere, much to the chagrin of many Tolkien fans. In that case, though, there are many complications as because of Tolkien's following have certain characteristics there are socio-political clashes that happen between some Tolkien fans and the show-runners. That is much less the case in WoT, where the complaints mostly centered around the show being either too slow or forcing mysteries and conflicts where the book readers think there should not be.

2025-07-01 17:10:09 +0000 UTCRegarding "man or woman": I'm not a book reader also, but I do know, because they have made it quite clear through endless moanings online, that many book readers gnashed their teeth over this. Here's the problem, based on complaints: in the books the Dragon reborn is known, it's not the kind of long-running mystery that the TV show portrays. I think this is a case where the show-runners needed mystery in their TV show, the whole mystery-box thing that has become too common in contemporary streaming TV big productions.
