I have seen maybe 5 Frazier episodes in total. Never seen Uncle Buck. Just one of the movies I never got around to watching but always looked funny. Yeah, The daughter was crazy moving away if you ask me.

2025-05-06 01:56:21 +0000 UTCThis was an unexpectedly sweet experience. I have not watched an "innocent film" like this for a while and it took me back a long time. Life can really change as the years go by. This film brought to mind another one from back then called "Uncle Buck" with the great and much missed John Candy. It also had the other Culkin child when he was a bit younger than his brother here. I do not know if you have seen it but Uncle Buck is one of those GREAT films which is a bit wilder, darker and has a lot more humour in it than this one. It is John Candy as a single man being brought in to take care of his brothers three kids when the family must leave for an emergency. The birthday breakfast that Candy makes the children is legendary. In this second Father of The Bride film I obviously knew most of the main actors, but when Doctor Megan came in at the end I thought: "I know her..." Then when she spoke I recognised the voice and face combination at once. She was in a series called Frasier which was made 5 years after this film. She was the girlfriend of Frasier's brother Niles and was very memorable. I do not know if you have seen that Frasier series, but just thinking of it brings a smile to my face. It has 263 1/2 hour episodes over 10 series and I am severely tempted to fund that one after the other series, which would take another 5.5 years which moves us into 2036-37(!) That would be 11+ years from now and so I might be making a part contribution to your own daughters wedding after all that time. :-) I loved your words "Family is more important than money or career." Some people lose sight of that. Thank you for this reaction. Now I am going hunting for an Uncle Buck reaction. :-)
