JMS never just does one single, simple storyline. IN B5, we started with the mystery of the surrender of the Minbari during the Earth/minbari war, and the hole in sinclairs mind. This was resolved by S2, and it evolved/lead us into the "main" story of the Shadow War and both it's build up and aftermath. Crusade would've been similar, with the plague being cured by S2, and a shift into the "main" story, which would have dealt with the shadow vessel that destroyed Gideon's ship and the greater legacy of the Shadows. The show was called Crusade for a reason.

The show was not designed to be "Will the Excalibur find the cure" but "How will the Excalibur find the cure, and what else will they find with it?"

2024-07-10 03:02:24 +0000 UTCIt's not just the Franklin thing that spoils that they find a cure, the Deconstruction of Falling Stars already is a spoiler on it's own. Was there any question if they would find the cure by the end? It wouldn't even surprise me if they found the cure by season 2. But now well never know
