It is very likely these images will spread quickly on social media - among the most popular platforms, Twitter (X) and Telegram will be the likely channels for secondary sharing. It remains possible the editorial board will reverse course and not share some or all of the images.
Be careful when browsing and clicking on links over the next few days. We've seen one picture, and it is horrifying. Additionally, if you have children, a number of experts are suggesting temporarily deleting social media apps this weekend. It's that bad.
Ed Note: Our team was among the first organizations to verify the Bucha massacre images as authentic. I personally geolocated and confirmed the photo of an eviscerated four-year-old Ukrainian girl and watched a Ukrainian soldier get slowly decapitated and another one tortured to death, including castration, to work on geolocation to authenticate.
