I am 25 years in service of my country. I loved how JMS let Lochley explain her position here. Yes, we have been taught about threats foreign and domestic, but I'm a grunt. Lochley was a CO and her choices affect everyone. I will say, in the least politically charged way that I can, that I am so proud of the Joint Chiefs in 2020 for refusing to follow (or just making it so hard such that those orders were outdated by the time they could be followed) certain orders. And yes, that applies both ways. I swore at 18 to spend my life defending democracy. There have been times that that Oath has been challenged, but I have fortunately never had to go so far as what Clark did in the show. I would like to believe that if I ever was issued that order, I would refuse it, but I do not know. That's the mastery of JMS.
