This show is SO GOOD that even though they killed your favorite character you're even more invested in the story now than you were in season 1 ;)

Jobs are hard to come by, so about 60% of the population is on "basic" assistance, and on a waiting list for training/jobs, which is mostly a lottery. The Dr guy said he's been waiting since he was 17. Camps like this are extremely common. It's not exactly a secret, Bobbie's CO talked about it a few episodes back. Just something she couldn't really picture until now.
