Idk why the rabbit and snake were friends, other than they both wanted to stay human, that's really the only thing that makes sense. Also yeah, the love triangle between Piper, Dan and Leo is not a storyline I like that much. I also had the same thoughts as you as far as Leo saying he's human now, since he did say it was only temporary. I think it is his choice if he becomes a whitelighter again though, so it could be permanent if that's what he chooses. They didn't really make that very clear when he told her his wings were clipped
