I understand Denton's action and I might have made the same decisions if I was in her position but as an outside observer I find most of her choices just horrible but that's easy to say from the comfort of a chair. Great writing and acting trough out this entire series so far.

2023-06-15 03:20:45 +0000 UTCWow that was a great ride. The swing back and forth on Denton through series 2 and 3 is fascinating to watch. I think for her, she believed her motives were good in taking the money. Perhaps this fuelled her self-righteous indignation. We absolutely can say that her methods were counterproductive and led to the outcome and her situation. Given that we see the network of corruption linking criminals and bent coppers. I can forgive her for not having faith in the system to find an outcome we can define as justice. When you are the one on the hook for going after Hunter, a known scum bag now in witness protection, and still carrying on your criminal activities. The ends don't justify the means and fellow officers did lose their lives while in the protection of a violent abuser being protected by the state; which was their duty. There are so many shades of grey, and these complex characters within this story of equal complexity. Denton was in the unfortunate position of being pretty unlikeable for a significant amount of the time, in looking like she was trying to squirm off the hook. Put yourself in her place. A despicable peice of shit gets a new identity and police protection and carries on in exactly the same way they had before, before they used her to have him killed. And she goes to prison. Has shit in her food. Beaten and torched to silence her. I forgive her angry outrage honestly. RIP Lindsay. Rot in hell Hunter.
