The Americans 5X13: The Soviet Division
Added 2025-10-10 16:00:17 +0000 UTCPhilip (Matthew Rhys), Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Tuan (Ivan Mok) visit Pasha's house to check on him. They are interrupted when Alexei (Alexander Sokovikov) and Evgheniya (Irina Dvorovenko) arrive, who allow them to enter. They discover Pasha (Zack Gafin) bleeding in his bedroom, and they help Alexei and Evgheniya in assisting Pasha until an ambulance arrives.
Renee (Laurie Holden) has moved in with Stan (Noah Emmerich), which raises Philip's suspicions.
Philip and Elizabeth report the events to Claudia (Margo Martindale), with Philip feeling guilt over having destroyed the family. Claudia notes that Evgheniya wants to leave the country with Pasha, but Alexei is reluctant. They once again visit Alexei and Evgheniya, but Philip fails to convince Alexei that he should leave the country.
Privately, they tell Tuan that they will recommend that the Centre assign him a new field. Tuan is furious and reveals that he wrote a report in which he claimed they were irresponsible in their duties. Elizabeth coldly tells Tuan that he will fail if he is not accompanied by someone.
In Moscow, Martha (Alison Wright) meets with her language instructor, Volodya (Alexander Rapoport) at a park. Volodya says he spoke with Gabriel and that he wanted to make up with Martha for everything that happened between them. She is told that she will be allowed to adopt a young girl, Olya, overjoying her.
Stan considers leaving his job at the FBI, but Renee convinces him to stay.
Henry (Keidrich Sellati) is accepted by the boarding school, but Philip states he won't go, having planned to move back to the USSR with Elizabeth.
Philip also informs Kimmy (Julia Garner) that he is leaving, lying by claiming he is actually going to Japan, which she does not take well. As he retrieves the last tape from Isaac, he discovers that Isaac was promoted as head of the CIA's Soviet division.
Later, he reveals this to Elizabeth, suggesting they can hand it off to someone else. Elizabeth opposes, as she feels this was their primary mission. They officially delay their move to Russia, although Elizabeth states she will take care of the mission, as she feels Philip may not be able to properly focus.
