Just 2 things to add: -I don't know if you remember but in one of the first episodes of the series (the one with the cow giants and the little blue people) they were talking about Percimol, the little blue guy in this episode that was controlled, and said that he was a legend, there was also a statue of him with his hammer. -And for the arena you said that it looked like an RPG battle arena and I'm pretty sure that it's a reference to the battle arenas in the original game. I just find this to be a cool detail
