the Vampire Diaries 4x15 Reaction

Thank you for two fantastic reactions! That scene when Elena accepts that Jeremy is really dead gets me every time. Yet again I was a sobbing mess. Nina's acting in that scene was on a whole other level. Just absolutely brilliant. She is a great actress. She plays Elena and Kathrine completely different and now she can show off her acting skills once again by playing yet another version! The next two episodes are decent (really like one particular scene in the next episode. You'll probably know which one when you see it, lol. I am very consistent and predictable in my tastes :D ) but what I'm really excited about are episodes 18,19 and 20! Btw I am currently more or less binge-watching your white collar reactions that are also absolutely fabulous! I used to watch that show with my mum (it's pretty rare for the two of us to like the same movies/tv shows as she is extremely sensitive when it comes to violence and most of what I watch has a lot of that in it) so it holds a special place in my heart. Like you described it- that show feels like "coming home" :)

Also I must say, kudos to Nina and her excellent acting. We saw her as human Elena, as Katherine, Elena vampire, and now Elena humanity off and they are all different. A part of the very realistic portray of a denial and of the consequent melt down, you could tell the moment her characters turn the humanity off, her eyes changed, the light is off. She is just that good. No wonder she won many awards.

I love your reactions. It is true it is mystic Falls and everything crazy can happen, but it is also true that it's a vampire show and nobody is safe, and I mean nobody. Jeremy's dead brings and end to an era for everybody. Matt is mourning for his old life the only connection he had left was Jeremy and his memory with his sister, Elena's family is gone, Bonnie seems crazy, he is surrounded by supernatural creature that have little to do with his life as human with very human problems and on top of that there is all the grieving, the craziness, things he can do very little about. Elena, the way we knew her is gone, for good, not just because she switched her humanity off, but because this episode is a watershed, Elena and her world as it was in season one is dead dead, gone gone, burning in her house with her iconic first season shoes, with Jeremy's sketches, with her diary, with everything the house represented, the centre of everybody's life. The cure is gone and Elena is a vampire, and that is a matter of fact that Elena, Damon and specially Stefan have to accept it. So everything that hold back our group of friends to the past is gone for good, even the old, pettiness between the brothers is gone, because in the face of the realisation of what could it mean to loose your brother, Stefan had to express his true feelings to Damon, to make sure he knows he loves him; but Damon knew it all along; by saying that the loving feelings Elena and him have for each other, at this point, are not enough to pass over the pain for the grief of loosing a brother; he was projecting himself in the position of loosing Stefan, and Stefan did the same. They can bicker, argue, fight as much as they want, but they love each other, deeply, that is unquestionable and they cannot bear the thought of loosing each other. And while the house is burning down, with Jeremy's body, Damon and Elena walk away, looking ahead into the future, while Stefan is the only one turning around looking back at the past burning away, his past too, before moving on like the other two. I love how they use allegories to say important things.
