A later cop character who dies shares a similar fate to Andy, but was given the ending that had originally been planned for Andy ie becoming a whitelighter. That may well have happened but is never shown or refered to. I'd like to think he did become one.

This is one of my fave season finales, they just get straight into the action and the heartbreak ugh this episode always makes me cry. So glad you enjoyed it! As far as I know, the actor for Andy wanted to leave the show which sucks but it's definitely a death you don't really see coming, or at least you don't think they'd kill someone off in the first season. Season 2 is even better and I can't wait for you to start! If only it could be a once a week show, 2 a month kills me đ
