I Think It's Time to Pause Subscriptions
Added 2025-08-03 13:09:49 +0000 UTCSo, we've gotten, literally, nowhere. Both Dropbox and Patreon are saying the problem is on their end. But neither seem to know what it is, how to fix it, or when it will be fixed. It's been weeks now.
This has been such a constant source of tension for me. For the first week, I was frustrated, but going along as usual. Then it started to feel like I was just shouting into the void. So, I decided to take two days off and see if I could come up with any solutions (spoiler alert: I didn't). Then two days turned into four. And then my mom showed up for a visit. All this to say, I haven't reacted in a week. (Not that it matters, since you can't see it anyway). But, it's been weighing so heavily on my. It's constantly in the back of my mind and really stressing me out.
But, I cannot continue to charge anyone for content that they are not getting. As Patreon is most of my income source, trust me, this pains me as much as it pains you. Lol. However, maybe it will teach me to diversify going forward and not put most of my eggs in one basket. A lesson I should have already learned by this age.
While I wait for this to get sorted out, I'm going to try some other things. Probably some book related content (this all started as a book podcast, after all) for YouTube. I'll still be reacting, but I don't think I can do a typical 5 or 6 reactions a day right now. It's too frustrating knowing they aren't really going anywhere. But, I do want to have a good chunk of reactions to put up when they figure out whatever the hell this is. So, I'll be splitting my time between reactions and whatever else I'm trying to get up to.
I wish I had better news, or a better update. Things were going so smoothly for so long, and then it feels like so many issues have happened in the last 4 or 5 months. Maybe it's sign from the universe that I need to make some changes. I don't know. (Side note: I don't actually believe in signs from the universe, but I want to. I wish I was that person. Actually, I was for about 3 years. Lol.)
If I hear anything, I'll keep you posted. Dropbox has already claimed the issue is solved, so I don't expect to here from them. However, Patreon is still working on it, as far as I can tell.
So, I think this is probably see you later for a while. (I'd be great if I came back with another update tomorrow that says it's fixed, but I don't anticipate that). I hope the other reactors you are following are posting delightful content for you and that they are not putting you through anything similar.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend (week? month? undetermined amount of time?) dolls.

have you tried posting the links in the comments instead of the posts? idk if that would make any difference but it might be worth a try

2025-08-03 15:40:12 +0000 UTCHave you tried other platforms such as streamable, I know a lot of reactors use that one. But if not, pausing subscriptions is the best decision. I hope it all works out.
