I was ready to be upset by all the robot stuff in this episode, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't annoy me nearly as much as I thought it would. However, I'm still screaming for Mariana to get help. Her poor teenage brain and emotions cannot handle this. Also, I really hate this realtor. It can't just be me, right? Not to mention, she sucks at her job. She told Stef and Lena all the work they'd have to do and then they get an offer 10% over asking and do none of it.
Mariana has her robot competition today. The other teams are mean (and so are the coaches), their coach tries to tell him to ignore it. (Plus their robot is half a pound overweight, so thge first thing we need to do is drill a bunch of holes in it). But, in the first round, the robot doesn't work at all. It just sits idle while all the other robots rack up points. They've got 10 minutes between rounds to figure it out. Mariana is yelling and screaming and bossing everyone around. Lena tries to talk her down, but she's not no time or patience for that.
When round 2 starts, thankfully, the robot works and they start clawing their way back. They are steadily moving up in the ranking when another robot 'pins' them. This is allowed (and the other team get s a point for it), but they are supposed to let the other robot up after 5 seconds, which they don't do. So, our robot missed out on a whole bunch of point and finishes in 8th place (which is a school record, but not good enough for Mariana). She marches over to the team who pinned them and demands they partner up for the finals. Initially, they say no, Mariana convinces them. They fix the robot arm (which apparently no one can figure out?) and they win! Huzzah!
While all this is going on, some police officers show up at the house to tell Cassie that car wash guy is claiming she's harassing him. Stef begs her to let her handle this, and Callie sort of agrees, but doesn't stop. She and Aaron are busy running around trying to find another suspect for the murder. And it seems like they've got one. But, after they stake out his place, Callie decides it's better to get the real police involved. Is this growth for Callie? (Or does she know this guy and I'm supposed to know him too 😳).
Brandon is spending a lot of time at the house as he prepares for his Juilliard audition. He's staring to realize that it's hard to take care of a kid. And there's never any down time. But, he and Stef finally have a conversation. They both apologize and she asks him to move back home. He says he can't leave Courtney high and dry like that. But, if he got into Juilliard, he would totally go, because that's different than simply moving back home. God, I hope he gets in. I really need this relationship to end for him.
Callie and AJ are busy trying to figure out where to have sex now that Mike doesn't want her at the house. AJ suggests her house, but it's always filled with people. But the house ends up empty, so they try. But they are walked in on by the realtor and people she's showing the house to. The couple is cool about it, but the relator is a dick. I really don't like her. But, by the end of the episode, that couple has made an offer on the house and we've got until the end of the month to get out.
I honestly cannot decide if we're moving or not. I want to say something happens and we get to stay, but if Brandon is moving to NYC for school (you know, maybe) and Jude is barely ever around, we could probably fit into a small space. Plus, I just found out this was only a 5 season show, so it's possible they sell now and maybe buy the house back in the finale?
