The Americans 3X6: Born Again

I'm loving the parallel storylines here with Philip and Kimberly, and Elizabeth and Paige.

So, it's Paige's baptism day. You can literally see the happiness radiating out of her. Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Philip are watching from the pews desperately trying not to make gagging faces. I think they are much more on the same page here than they are about Paige being recruited. (Not that it matters, Elizabeth is taking matters into her own hands).

Both Elizabeth and Philip go to see the mentor guy. Philip tells him that he's trying to be delicate with Kimmy as she's only 15, but he's informed that he actually has to go and retrieve the recording device weekly. (He thought it was monthly and was trying to put some distance between them). So now, he's got to go back and make amends with her. She's reluctant, but he persuades her. At the house, he convinces her to take a bath while he lets another agent in who fits her dad's briefcase with the recording device. Afterwards, in order to explain to her why he won't have sex with her, he tells her about his son and how he needs to earn God's approval so he can see him again.

While Elizabeth is over visiting the mentor, she tells him that she's going through with the recruitment of Paige whether Philip likes it or not. He mentions to her that she's not actually doing that though. So, when she leaves, she's goes to pick Paige up at school and takes her to what looks like a rough part of town. She tells her about the activism that she and Philip did when the kids were younger and encourages her to find other ways to fight the man. What they are doing at church isn't bad, but there is so much more that can be done.

Meanwhile, Stan is busy trying to have sex with the EST lady in his house, but the fact that he still thinks of Sandra as his wife, and her pictures are all over the house is making it difficult for him. EST lady tries to help him out and I think (but I'm not sure) it helps and they do end up having sex. (I think). Shortly after, Stan finds out a guy he went to Quantico with, died and Sandra ends up bringing their son over (I forgot his name). He asks her to come to the memorial, but she's hesitant. Stan, you're not getting her back. At least not any time soon.

Over in Moscow, Nina finally gets Evi talking. And she discovers that she and her boyfriend both knew what they were doing. She tells Oleg's dad, and he treats her to a grand meal along with some wine. When she gets back to her cell, she won't look at or talk to Evi though. But just as Nina finally faces her, guards show up and drag Evi away. She's screams at Nina asks her 'What did you do?' over and over.

Martha finds out that the mail robot is no longer overflowing with classified documents. One of the other agents found it distasteful as well and took care of the problem. I'm not sure how much Clark is going to enjoy that.

And the kid that Elizabeth has been mentoring starting following someone who is planning an attack against the US (for some historical reasons that I'm not smart enough to remember). But, it seems like he's good at his job and Elizabeth and he are working well together. They've been told to keep an eye on him (not the kid, the guy the kid was following).
