I love that in 7000+ simulations Samaritan could never have imagined the level of Root's craziness. Like Shaw is thoroughly surprised at Root casually threatening to kill herself too because it never happened before in the simulations.

2023-05-18 12:22:08 +0000 UTCThen you haven't been watching properly. There was clear hints that Shaw was interested in at least entertaining Root's flirt. There were also many occurences where Shaw clearly showed that she cared for Root. In 3x12 she is worried when Root gets captured by Control (of course everything is relative with a sociopath like her, so she shows very little, however in that moment she did show more care and worry for Root than on average she does for other characters). In the season 3 finale she goes to help Root install the servers despite the fact that she told her not to come and that she might have better things to do. There probably are many other occurences but those are the few I can think of in season 3.

2022-11-09 10:16:01 +0000 UTCFusco finally gets his long overdue yellow box. Boy you're in the home stretch now. The Root/ Shaw thing bugs me too. If you told me in their few scenes in early s3 Shaw liked Carter with the way she acted around her, I'd believe it more than Shaw's supposed sudden feelings for Root in season 4.
