Okay, so many years ago, this witch showed up in New Orleans, Papa Tunde. He's all like, bad shit is about to go down, but I'll help protect you if you if accept me and my family into your coven. Oh, and I'm in charge now. The witches seem to go along with this has they need help fighting off vampires and werewolves.

So, Papa Tunde starts showing up to meetings with Klaus, Elijah, and some mobster werewolves, claiming the witches are taking an equal stake. Klaus is not into this (no surprise there), so Papa Tunde starts killing vampires. Klaus is pissed, but figures out that he draws his power from his twin sons, so Klaus has them beheaded and sent to him in a box. Fun. Then Klaus kills him, so problem solved, right? Not so much.

Back in the present day, Papa Tunde is one of the witches who was resurrected during the Harvest ritual that went wrong. He pops up where Rebekah and Thierry are talking and attacks them. He's drawing on the power of a bunch of dead vampires and is able to overpower Rebekah and desiccate her with a spell. Thierry, for his part, just bolts. So Rebekah is basically dead and now Papa Tunde can draw from her power as well. And the power of an Original is a lot.

Papa Tunde then bops over to the bar to attack Cami and Marcel. Marcel tells her to run, but she sticks around to try to fend him off, but you know, Papa Tunde has Rebekah's power and a fuck ton of other vampires to draw on. All packaged up in the neat little knife of his. Cami manages to call Klaus and explain what is happening and he rushes over. By the time he gets there, Marcel is already out, and he's about to take out Klaus as well.

Thankfully, Elijah and Hayley managed to find Rebekah and using some of Hayley's blood (Her baby is 1/4 witch? Why didn't I know that?), they are able to get Rebekah out of the ritual circle. As soon as they do so, it breaks Papa Tunde's hold on Klaus as he no longer has her power anymore. While Klaus goes over to help Marcel, Papa Tunde runs off.

We find out that Marcel was actually the one to bring Papa Tunde to New Orleans all those years ago. He was hoping that he would drive Klaus out of the city and he and Rebekah could be together. She informs him that the only witch who scares Klaus is their father. Probably more on that later.

Klaus tries to get the vampires to fight with him against Papa Tunde, but a bunch of them decide to defect. However, he seems like he has enough for an army. Sophie informs him that Papa Tunde must have come back after the messed of Harvest ritual. Apparently, the elder brought back four witches, but not the ones they assumed. (Or someone messed with the magic).

And we end with Papa Tunde being sacrificed (willingly) by Celeste after he slaughtered all the vampires in the in the vampire garden. Now, the knife contains the power of all those vampires as well. (However, they were all severely malnourished, I wonder if that takes away their power somewhat). So Celeste now has all the power of all these vampires in the knife. That probably doesn't bode well. Although, I'm super curious what's gonna have when Elijah realizes this is Celeste.
